“Youtube Singstar Dude” follow-up… New Singstar video…

I actually got a nice message from the “Youtube Singstar Dude”. His real name is Han-Beom and his native land is Korea. I’ll refresh your memories and also put up some more of his videos.

Han-Beom is the man who has a ton of Singstar videos on his Youtube page. I posted a article a few days ago about his “Erasure” video and the fact that he really enjoyed singing to the game. I actually was kind of honored that he thanked me for posting his videos. He messaged me to wish me a Merry Christmas and I think it’s only good to head over to his Youtube page and check out his other Singstar videos. They will bring a smile to your face… He just posted a Duran Duran video for “Ordinary World”.

First Unreal Tournament III Mod Map released for PS3. “Shrine DM Map”.

The first Mod is now available for download for the Playstation 3 version of Unreal Tournament III. You will have to either have to use a Flash Card or burn the files to a CD. At this time you cannot download the map from the game itself for some reason. i am not sure why but we shall find out soon… Either way, check out the new Death Match map by clicking below for the file…

Youtube dude breaks out Erasure’s A Little Respect on Singstar.

I was checking out some videos on YouTube and I came across this man from South Korea and figured that I would post it. This dude rocks… He is singing Erasure’s “A Little Respect”… My favorite group ( my PS3 and Xbox 360 tag name is “Erasure242″). He has a ton of videos of him singing Queen, The Cure, Tom Jones, Buggles (Video below), Boy George, etc. Each video is sure to bring a smile to your face and also he really does seem to enjoy singing the songs to this game… Thats all that matters in the end…

 

Check out the rest of his videos… They are all quite enjoyable. You can laugh at him, cry for him but please…  give him A Little Respect

Hey… Remember this guy? We might finally get to see Duke Nukem Forever? Remember that game? I think the game has been in development since Moses parted the Red Sea… Anyway, here is the new teaser trailer.

The official Firmware Update 2.10 is now available for download.

Firmware 2.10 for the Playstation 3 is now live to download. This new system update enhances media playback on the PLAYSTATION 3 in a number of ways that the PS3 community has indicated are important.

DivX and VC-1 (WMV) videos become playable in the Video section of the XMB. This update also brings the PS3’s Blu-ray drive up to Profile 1.1. “Picture in Picture” and other enhancements become available on Profile 1.1 compatible Blu-ray discs.

A voice changer feature is added, enabling you to change the tone of your voice during voice or video chat.

Firmware 3.80 is also live for the Sony PSP system.

What I think Sony needs to do to have a successful 2008.

Over the week I am going to throw out some of my own personal thoughts on what I am hoping all three game companies do going into the 2008 gaming year. This weekend I am going to start with Sony, followed by Microsoft and finally Nintendo… 

Resident Evil: Degeneration screens.

Check out the link below for a full set of the Resident Evil: Degeneration screens from the upcoming CGI DVD film from Capcom. This is most likely the only Resident Evil “movie” I will see. To this day I refuse to see a Hollywood-made Resident Evil movie (with that Mila chick) because of how they screwed over George A. Romero.

Are you getting for what you pay for?

Im still unclear about the X360 Elites features, but I read on and I noticed that everything was clear. But then I began to compare both systems, and I realized that the X360 doesn’t have a built in HD DVD player. I also did more research, and apparently in order to have HD DVD, you must buy an extra component to have it. But wait, the system itself is $499.99, and the HD DVD component is $169.99! thats a total of $659.99!!!

Meanwhile on the PS3, you have the gameplay, the Bluray, the online features and basically every other thing that the xbox 360 has. I already know that the Online Experience is much better on the X360’s, but I believe that Sony will soon one day compete with it!

Why do i bring this up you ask? Well, I am tired of hearing this BS on how the PS3 is way over priced! The PS3 has all those functions that the 360 has, but the only thing the 360 couldnt bring was its HD DVD player! you have to pay extra! PS3- $499.99 360- $619.99…..hmmm, I wonder who is really over priced!?

Oh, and dont get me started on microsft points! What a jip! Its like going to a carnival and buying 4 tickets, but everything in the park is 3 tickets. But unfortunetly you can only buy tickets in a pack of 2 tickets each! So when you buy something, your gonna be left with an uneven amount of tickets, which means you will be left with tickets you cant use unless you buy more tickets! Its a scam! Send me hate mail! I’ll love it!

Warhawk 1.2 Patch hits on December 19th.

Warhawk fans will be pleased to hear that the 1.2 patch will be hitting on December 19th 2007. Just in time for that new Warhawk map pack.

GCN Site News…

 

A little website news for you… I am in the process of getting a server name (www.gamingconsolenetwork.com) as well as a server for the site. Right now things are at a stand still until the end of 2007 (Xmas is kicking my wallet’s ass). That means there will be a whole new look and you won’t have to deal with that “wordpress” in the site name. This template (black & red) is also glitchy and generic. Its a slow process but it will happen. Gaming Console Network started 2 years ago but went down last year due to server problems (the server we had went out of business.. imagine that) so I was in limbo for about 7-8 months (and went back to NLG). I will still work at NLG but this website will be my new home as well… We got 4000 hits the last week or so… not too bad…
