The US PSN Store did not update today. I know, it sucks but what can you do?

“Youtube Singstar Dude” follow-up… New Singstar video…

I actually got a nice message from the “Youtube Singstar Dude”. His real name is Han-Beom and his native land is Korea. I’ll refresh your memories and also put up some more of his videos.

Han-Beom is the man who has a ton of Singstar videos on his Youtube page. I posted a article a few days ago about his “Erasure” video and the fact that he really enjoyed singing to the game. I actually was kind of honored that he thanked me for posting his videos. He messaged me to wish me a Merry Christmas and I think it’s only good to head over to his Youtube page and check out his other Singstar videos. They will bring a smile to your face… He just posted a Duran Duran video for “Ordinary World”.

First Unreal Tournament III Mod Map released for PS3. “Shrine DM Map”.

The first Mod is now available for download for the Playstation 3 version of Unreal Tournament III. You will have to either have to use a Flash Card or burn the files to a CD. At this time you cannot download the map from the game itself for some reason. i am not sure why but we shall find out soon… Either way, check out the new Death Match map by clicking below for the file…

PSN Shop Update 12/20/2007

 

This weeks PSN Store update is pretty big. But there will be no PSN Store Update next Thursday. So check out what the store has to offer this week… plenty of goodies to go around.  On a personal note,  I am glad to see the original PS1 game Warhawk made it to the list.

Hey… Remember this guy? We might finally get to see Duke Nukem Forever? Remember that game? I think the game has been in development since Moses parted the Red Sea… Anyway, here is the new teaser trailer.

The official Firmware Update 2.10 is now available for download.

Firmware 2.10 for the Playstation 3 is now live to download. This new system update enhances media playback on the PLAYSTATION 3 in a number of ways that the PS3 community has indicated are important.

DivX and VC-1 (WMV) videos become playable in the Video section of the XMB. This update also brings the PS3’s Blu-ray drive up to Profile 1.1. “Picture in Picture” and other enhancements become available on Profile 1.1 compatible Blu-ray discs.

A voice changer feature is added, enabling you to change the tone of your voice during voice or video chat.

Firmware 3.80 is also live for the Sony PSP system.

What I think Sony needs to do to have a successful 2008.

Over the week I am going to throw out some of my own personal thoughts on what I am hoping all three game companies do going into the 2008 gaming year. This weekend I am going to start with Sony, followed by Microsoft and finally Nintendo… 

Resident Evil: Degeneration screens.

Check out the link below for a full set of the Resident Evil: Degeneration screens from the upcoming CGI DVD film from Capcom. This is most likely the only Resident Evil “movie” I will see. To this day I refuse to see a Hollywood-made Resident Evil movie (with that Mila chick) because of how they screwed over George A. Romero.

Are you getting for what you pay for?

Im still unclear about the X360 Elites features, but I read on and I noticed that everything was clear. But then I began to compare both systems, and I realized that the X360 doesn’t have a built in HD DVD player. I also did more research, and apparently in order to have HD DVD, you must buy an extra component to have it. But wait, the system itself is $499.99, and the HD DVD component is $169.99! thats a total of $659.99!!!

Meanwhile on the PS3, you have the gameplay, the Bluray, the online features and basically every other thing that the xbox 360 has. I already know that the Online Experience is much better on the X360’s, but I believe that Sony will soon one day compete with it!

Why do i bring this up you ask? Well, I am tired of hearing this BS on how the PS3 is way over priced! The PS3 has all those functions that the 360 has, but the only thing the 360 couldnt bring was its HD DVD player! you have to pay extra! PS3- $499.99 360- $619.99…..hmmm, I wonder who is really over priced!?

Oh, and dont get me started on microsft points! What a jip! Its like going to a carnival and buying 4 tickets, but everything in the park is 3 tickets. But unfortunetly you can only buy tickets in a pack of 2 tickets each! So when you buy something, your gonna be left with an uneven amount of tickets, which means you will be left with tickets you cant use unless you buy more tickets! Its a scam! Send me hate mail! I’ll love it!

Warhawk 1.2 Patch hits on December 19th.

Warhawk fans will be pleased to hear that the 1.2 patch will be hitting on December 19th 2007. Just in time for that new Warhawk map pack.

Unreal Tournament III For PS3 Ships!

Unreal Tournament III will reach the Sony Playstation 3 before the end of 2007 after all.. The game hits stores today!

Devil May Cry 4 Demo hits PS3 & Xbox 360 in early 2008.

 

Capcom, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, today confirmed that owners of Sony Computer Entertainment’s PLAYSTATION3 computer entertainment system and the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft will be able to experience Devil May Cry 4 early, thanks to the release of a playable demo. A free downloadable demo of the game will be available on the PLAYSTATIONStore and Xbox LIVE Marketplace in early 2008. Devil May Cry 4 has been rated M for Mature by the Entertainment Software Ratings Board (ESRB).

This is the first of what I guess you could call a end of week thought. Hell, every blog seems to have one now. Everybody has a “end of day thought” or whatever… So here are my thoughts of this weeks gaming news…  

PlayStation Store Update (12/06/2007)

The Playstation 3 Store is now updated. We finally see High Velocity Bowling as well as the TimeShift Multi-player Demo. There is also the new GTA4 trailer as well as new PS1/PSP games and themes. The European PSN also updated with a Kane & Lynch Demo… so those of you with European PSN accounts go check it out now…

BlackSite: Area 51 PS3 Demo Dated.

This one keeps jumping around on PS3 fans. A demo was set to hit the PS3 PSN last week but was pulled for some reason. Now we have some more news on a Demo from psu.com. The demo for BlackSite: Area 51 is scheduled to hit the PlayStation Network on Dec. 20. Sadly I think this is the same demo the guys on the Xbo360 got weeks & months ago…

First in-game Street Fighter IV images emerges.
